Legislation Senator Balkema is working on in support of the second amendment:
SB0109: Expiration date of FOID card must be clearly displayed on card
SB0110, SB1213: Allows concealed carry by licensees on buses, trains, or other public transport
SB0288: Reduces replacement fee for a CCL from $75 to $5
SB0297: Removes ban on suppressors
SB0298, SB1222: Repeals the FOID card act
SB1209: Removes requirement of needing a FOID card to buy, possess, sell, or transfer firearm ammunition
SB1210: Gives schools the ability to offer course in firearm safety
SB1211, SB1332, SB1336: Removes conceal carry restrictions at public parks, public transportation, and IDOT rest areas
SB1212: Removes conceal carry restrictions at IDOT rest areas
SB1214: Allows professional fire fighters to concealed carry on duty with valid license and approval from village authorities
SB1219: Prohibits ISP from Revoking a FOID Card, gives that responsibility to the courts
SB1333: Allows a non-resident to concealed carry if over 21 and has a license from a state with similar training requirements or if that state has a reciprocal agreement with Illinois
SB1334: Lowers the age in which a person may apply for a FOID card without parental consent to 18 years (from 21)
